Here is a very elaborate ship model from Hegi Modellbau of Germany that builds and actual working Police Hydrofoil! Kit B-3511.

From the box: Hydrofoil Boat "Wasserschultzpolizei" For electric propulsion and radio control. Super Quickie Kit.The model is based on hydrofoil boats which are used by the water guard police on the Hessian inland waters. These boats had been set in duty on the river main in November 1957 after a 3 years lasting test period... The Hegi model is the first electric powered hydrofoil kit produced in series... The kit contains a ready formed plastic hull, pre-worked or stamped plastic and wooden parts, milled hydrofoils with aluminum supports, twin rudder, all propulsion accessories (stempipes, shafts and propeller), all fittings and building instructions, construction plan, decals, glue. Length 77 mm, width 225 mm, height 400 mm.

Included in this kit is:-
Formed plastic hull.
Complete plans. The plans are actual size and have the look and feel of a marine architects drawings. The plans are almost six feet across when unfolded.
Three bags of fittings made of wood, brass, plastic, brass and aluminum.
Model grade wood stock along with precut and stamped wood and plastic for building the superstructure. There are several types and sizes of wood from plywood, to balsa.
A sheet of decals
A tube of marine model cement and a jar of plastic cement
Instructions in German and translated into English in typewritten pages.
Milled hardwood hydrofoil wings.
