For Sustaining Members:
The IHS Board of Directors, Officers, and Staff are volunteers, and they pay their annual dues like the other IHS members. The modest IHS dues do not go for salaries, but are used, to cover the monthly charge of the home page internet provider, to print and mail the newsletter and other informative materials, to purchase the plaques for IHS awards, etc. The cost of dinner meetings held in the Washington DC area is recovered through the price of admission to these events.
* Regular members have the option of receiving their copy of the quarterly newsletter as hard copy by surface mail. Student members and Sustaining Members are presumed to be computer literate and therefore receive the electronic version of the newsletter (it is easy to print out the electronic newsletter on your own printer if you want a hard copy).

Same instructions as above for starting membership. If you are behind in your dues, you will have the opportunity during checkout to change the number of years for which you will be charged. Please indicate in the comment section of the payment form which year(s) you are paying for.
For the "Welcome to New Members" section of the IHS newsletter, we would like to have a few paragraphs of information about you... educational and professional background, nature of your interest in hydrofoils, etc. (You do not have to have academic credentials or work experience with hydrofoils!). If you are renewing, please take this opportunity to let us know of anything new and hydrofoil-related in your career or life. If you are paying by credit card (see above), there is a place for comments in the payment form where you can enter this information. Otherwise, just send an email to editor@foils.org.
Membership Contact List/ Mailing List now available to members. Current and new members were notified of the password by email. This list is password-protected and accessible to members only, with certain exceptions as provided for in the IHS Mailing List Policy.
Click Here and enter password to view the list. You will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the page, and you will need to use the Zoom function in the reader to enlarge the print. If you forgot the password, contact webmaster@foils.org
This list should be held within the membership, and should never be used to "spam" the membership. If spamming becomes a problem, this may lead to discontinuation of the list. Periodic updates to the list will be published, and notification of the update and new password will be made by email to members in good standing. Instructions for submitting changes and correction to this list are in the footer of the list itself. You may ask that all or part of your information be removed (or added) at any time by contacting the webmaster.
.
.
*Also search the Automated Bulletin Board (BBS); it is separately hosted and has its own search engine.
Still didn't find what you were looking for? Contact the webmaster by email... we may know a source for your information. Also, please suggest new topics that should be covered in this site. This search feature operates with key words. You can search for any of the words you type in, all of the words, or the exact phrase. Do not ask a complete question in the style of "Ask Jeeves" because you will likely get too many irrelevant citations if you do.
Please forgive and ignore the commercial advertising that our search engine provider recently added to the search results page. IHS neither endorses nor recommends products and services. We are in the process of finding a new search engine provider that has no ads.
Sustaining Members are corporations, companies institutions and other organizations who wish to support the work of the Society.
